About

The SocioPatterns project "is a scientific research project that aims to uncover fundamental patterns in social dynamics and coordinated human activity. The principal approach adopted in this project is a data-driven one, i.e., guided by the statistical analysis of dynamic social interaction network data. In order to obtain the data required for such an approach, the SocioPatterns project activities entailed the conception, development and deployment of an experimental sensing platform, capable of collecting data on the face-to-face physical proximity (as a proxy for social interaction) among the members of a medium to large scale subject group, with an adequate temporal and spatial resolution".
