IRC, or Internet Relay Chat is a communication network that allows large or small groups of people to communicate through text.
IRC was created by Jarkko Oikarinen in August 1988 to replace a program called MUT (MultiUser Talk) on a BBS called OuluBox in Finland.Cite error: Closing </ref> missing for <ref> tag
